In a recent detailed Facebook post that has sparked widespread discussion among legal practitioners and the public, a Nigerian erudite lawyer, Barr. Chinaza Duke Nwosu (Duke M. C. Nwosu), has addressed a common misconception surrounding the ongoing terrorism trial of Maazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). JAMB Flags 2658 Admissions Illegal Over Irregularities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has identified and flagged 2,658 admissions conducted during the 2024/2025 academic session as illegal. This is contained in press statement drafted on October 31, 2025, coinciding with the closure of the admission process for the 2025/2026 session in public universities and made public today - November 1, 2025. According to report gathered by EruditeNewsBlog, the irregularities were uncovered through JAMB's routine institutional analysis, which audits admissions data against its mandatory Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Admissions processed outside CAPS such as direct placements, backdoor entries, or unverified offers are deemed invalid, as they bypass merit-based selection, transparency, and quota allocations. "Judges are Corrupt Because They Know Not The Law" SC Judge who Had Delivered Over 600 Judgments Reveals

A Supreme Court Judge identified as Justice Emmanuel Agim has disclosed that most Nigerian Judges are corrupt because they are ignorant of the law, adding that if a lawyer knows the law, it is very difficult for him to be unethical. JAMB Issues New Directives on the Deadline for Closure of 2025 Admissions

At the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions held on 18th July, 2025, by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), amongst others, and chaired by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, critical resolutions were reached regarding the timelines for the 2025 admissions exercise. The meeting resolved that all public universities must complete and forward their recommendations of suitably-qualified candidates, who selected them as their first choice to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on or before Tuesday, 30th September, 2025. Private universities, on the other hand, are required to submit their admission recommendations on or before Friday, 31st October, 2025, to allow sufficient time for other tiers of tertiary institutions to conduct their admissions.
