The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has identified and flagged 2,658 admissions conducted during the 2024/2025 academic session as illegal. This is contained in press statement drafted on October 31, 2025, coinciding with the closure of the admission process for the 2025/2026 session in public universities and made public today - November 1, 2025. According to report gathered by EruditeNewsBlog, the irregularities were uncovered through JAMB's routine institutional analysis, which audits admissions data against its mandatory Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
