The Acting Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi, following the tragic death of Miss Isabella Chioma Ajana, a 100-level law student, has suspended doctors, nurses, and security personnel on duty at the UNIZIK Medical Centre on the day of the incident, citing negligence to have contributed to the student’s untimely passing. Some Muslim youths are reportedly planning a protest in Sokoto State to demand the release of two suspects arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of Deborah Samuel Yakubu.
