The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government of Nigeria urging swift action to resolve the lingering issues in our public universities. The deadline for said ultimatum, set for October 12, 2025, comes with a warning of a two weeks warning strike, potentially escalating into a total indefinite shutdown if demands are unmet, this of course will amount to a significant disruption to Nigeria’s education sector.
