NANS Vows To Block Airports & Federal Roads Over Recent 3 More Months ASUU Strike

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has on Monday 9th May, 2022, vowed to block all federal roads and airports in the country to protest the 12-week extension of the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

This was disclosed by the Association's President, Sunday Asefon, in a statement made available to newsmen.

Comr. Sunday also condemned the inaction of the regime of the Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) administration over the industrial action which started on February 14, 2022.

He further affirmed that students of public universities would disrupt primary elections and conventions by political parties scheduled for May ending.

Recall that the Academic Staff Union of Universities in a statement signed by ASUU president, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke on Monday, 9th May, 2022, rolled over its ongoing strike for another 12 weeks.
